These two valleys are responsible for most of the excellent wines produced in Chile. They are located just 2 hours away (by car) from Santiago. For the past years, Chilean wines have been winning awards worldwide. The region of Colchagua and Maipo Valleys has been named the 2005 Wine Region of the Year by Wine Enthusiast. It is a beautiful place, just in the bottom of the Andes Range, with a balmy Mediterranean weather. Visiting these Valleys, nowadays, makes one feel like being in Napa Valley 50 years ago.
